My Story
About City Homestead
Where design meets heart and homes are prepared to be chosen.
Leah Ball is a native Texan with a lifelong eye for potential and a deep belief that home matters. Since 2002, she and her husband have renovated, designed, and lived in a series of homes—each one thoughtfully improved, loved well, and left better than they found it. What began as a personal passion naturally grew into helping friends and family do the same: seeing what a space could be, then bringing it to life.
Long before staging homes, Leah was leading people in another creative space. With a degree in music, she spent the first twenty years of her career as a worship leader—developing a deep sensitivity to atmosphere, emotion, flow, and the unseen details that shape how people experience a space. In 2020, her career took a pivotal turn, but the calling to create never changed. What once took the form of music now shows up through homes—using her God-given creativity to tell a story, set a tone, and create an environment that resonates.
That same year, Leah went all in—turning decades of hands-on experience, design intuition, and buyer awareness into what is now City Homestead Design Co., a company built on the belief that thoughtful presentation changes everything.
Because buying a home isn’t just a transaction—it’s a feeling.
Now more than ever, we believe home is one of the most important places on earth. Buyers don’t just see the right home… they feel it. Our work is rooted in that moment—using strategic staging and intentional design to highlight a home’s best features, clarify its story, and help buyers instantly imagine themselves living there.
The name City Homestead is a nod to the small, country-in-the-city property that started it all—a place that represented comfort, character, and a sense of belonging. That same feeling is what we aim to create in every space we touch.
At the end of the day, we don’t just stage homes—we help people fall in love with them.
